Welcome to Saul Creek Apiary’s Beekeeping Beginners Guide. Our Beekeeping Beginners Guide is designed to help new beekeepers get started in beekeeping in the South Texas area. Beekeeping in South Texas has drastically changed over the years making it a challenge to new and seasoned beekeepers alike. Our Beekeeping Beginners Guide to South Texas Beekeeping will cover how to work an aggressive colony and how to re-queen an aggressive colony. We will also cover steps and precautions that need to be taken when removing feral colonies and swarms due to Africanized Hybrid Colonies. We will also be covering beekeeping with Langstroth equipment as well as top bar hives (KTBH).

- Beekeeping Information: Beekeeping Information is always free. Unlike many Beekeepers that tout how they love to talk bees they also love to take your money to talk Bees. On the phone or at our location if you have questions we’ll do our best to give you an answer or point you in the right direction.
- Nucleus Colonies: Our Nucleus Colonies are full five frames. All our Nucs come with a high population of bees and solid brood frames. Unlike many Nuc producers the Queens in our Nucs actually head the colony you purchase from us. We never remove or add brood frames and bees from other hives days or hours before the customer arrives. The Brood Pattern you see is from the Queen within the Nuc. We never pull frames from hives and drop in a Queen that may or may not be accepted by the colony like many Nuc producers.
